McAuliffe Golf Day raises highest amount yet for the NSPCC

17 Jul 2024

A record-breaking £22,000 was raised for the NSPCC at this year's McAuliffe Golf Day, smashing the record raised last year by £5,000!

The tried and tested format involved 20 teams competing the 18-hole course at Edgbaston Golf Club, in Birmingham taking on challenges such as ‘Beat the Pro’, with golfer, Simon Leahy from Ultimate Golf, who once again provided his services free of charge, all in aid of charity fundraising. The day culminated with a dinner, a prize draw, and an auction in the evening.

Housebuilding clients, suppliers, and many midlands’ businesses put in teams on the day, including Persimmon Homes, Vistry Partnerships, Miller Homes Worcester, BLUE Machinery Southern, Marubeni-Komatsu, M&J Drilling, Acorn Environmental, Spillard, Clarke Willmott LLP, Oakmere, Odour Services and Re:find.

We are immensely grateful to the generosity of those that attended and/or donated auction prizes. This money goes a long way to help the NSPCC keep children safe in Birmingham and beyond.

Plans will soon be in motion for the next McAuliffe golf day in July 2025.
