Midlands business leaders swung into action to raise a record £17,266 for the NSPCC at McAuliffe's annual Golf Day in July.

19 teams completed the 18-hole course at Edgbaston Golf Club, taking on challenges such as beat the pro, with golfer, Simon Leahy, providing his services free of charge in aid of fundraising.

Multiple Midlands businesses put in teams at the event, including: Countryside Partnerships, Persimmon, Taylor Wimpey, Oakmere, Clements & Church, Komatsu, Acorn Environmental, Clarke Willmott, James Gregory Financial, Odour Services, Spillard, JonPaul O’Donnell, and M&J Drilling.

The day closed with dinner and drinks, a prize draw, and a silent auction in the evening.

John McAuliffe, Group Managing Director of McAuliffe Group, said:

“We were bowled over when we saw the total. £17,266 will go a long way towards helping the NSPCC keep children safe in Birmingham. Thank you to all our Midlands clients, suppliers and friends for taking the time out again this year, and for giving so generously to a wonderful charity.”

This is the seventh year McAuliffe has hosted the NSPCC Big Golf Day, with plans for 2024’s event already in motion. To find out how you can get involved, contact: donna@mcauliffegroup.co.uk
