McAuliffe wins Best Infrastructure Project at Brownfield Awards 21

20 Oct 2021

McAuliffe has won a Brownfield Award for its work on HS2 Curzon Street, scooping Best Infrastructure Project at this year’s ceremony. This is the business’ third consecutive brownfield award-win.

Judges praised the wide-ranging impact of the project, as well as McAuliffe’s high-quality engagement with the development team.

McAuliffe completed remediation and enabling works on the Birmingham site earlier this year, providing a value-engineered development platform for the new HS2 Curzon Street station.

Client, LM-JV, commended the team, saying how they ‘did an unbelievable job of raising standards onsite’ and ‘should be really proud of what they’d achieved.’

John McAuliffe, Group Managing Director at McAuliffe Group, said: “The Brownfield Awards is hugely respected in our industry, so it’s a real honour to be recognised again this year. Especially with such an impressive shortlist.

“Curzon Street is a significant project, both locally and nationally, and the team worked closely with LM-JV to add real value throughout our time onsite. A well-deserved win for both sides.”

This year’s fellow award winners included AECOM, Arcadis, RSK, RPS, and BAE Systems.

In 2020, McAuliffe was awarded Best Application of Remediation Technologies for its work on the former Itron gas meter factory in Old Trafford. Read more, here: Double award win for McAuliffe at Brownfield Awards 2020
