And as handicaps went down, fundraising went up. An ace £11,000 was raised for children’s charity, the NSPCC.
The effort was bolstered by generous prize donations from M&J Drilling, Komatsu, SMT GB, Clements & Church, Edgbaston four ball, and Odour Services International. Not to mention Wardell Armstrong, whose refreshments provided a much-needed sugar hit out on the green.
